NEWS RELEASE: High-Speed Rail, City of Palmdale Announce Partnership to Advance Palmdale Station Planning
The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) took another step toward advancing work for the proposed high-speed rail station in downtown Palmdale. The Authority entered into an agreement this past week with the City of Palmdale to supply matching funds for a grant application to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) program. If awarded, the grant will support completion of the city’s Station Implementation Master Plan (Master Plan).

NEWS RELEASE: California High-Speed Rail Passes Key Environmental Milestone in Southern California Region
Today, the California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) released the Final Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (Final EIR/EIS) for the approximately 80-mile Bakersfield to Palmdale project section of the California high-speed rail system, moving the Authority one step closer to approving its third environmental document in two years.

NEWS RELEASE: California and Federal Government Reach Agreement – Nearly $1 Billion in Funding Returned to the High-Speed Rail Project
June 10, the U.S. Department of Transportation and the State of California finalized settlement negotiations to restore nearly a billion dollars in federal grant funding to California’s High-Speed Rail project. The action comes after months of negotiations to restore funding that was previously rescinded by the Trump Administration in 2019.
