FRESNO, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority today released its Fall 2022 Construction Update highlighting continued progress on the nation’s first high-speed rail project. Highlights include recent milestones, such as the completion of three high-speed rail grade separations. The video also includes new drone footage and updates across all Central Valley high-speed rail construction packages.

NEWS RELEASE: California High-Speed Rail Board Awards Design Contract for Central Valley Stations
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s (Authority) Board of Directors today approved awarding the design and support services contract for the Merced, Fresno, Kings/Tulare and Bakersfield stations that will serve high-speed rail passengers on the initial 171-mile segment. “The first four Central Valley high-speed rail stations are one step closer to reality,” said Authority Chairman Tom Richards. “High-speed rail stations will transform cities, spur economic development and create community hubs within the heart of our state.”

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – As California leads the way on the innovative advancement of clean, sustainable transportation, the California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) today released its latest Sustainability Report detailing how this first-in-the-nation system serves as the backbone of the state’s ambitious climate goals. “We are building momentum on a modern passenger rail service and advancing the largest, greenest infrastructure project in the country,” said Authority CEO Brian Kelly. “This project serves as the zero-emission spine for California’s transportation system. We’re proud of the work being done to improve geographic equity and connect economies for this and future generations.”
