Millbrae StationThe Authority is planning modifications to the existing Millbrae station to accommodate high-speed rail service. This station will serve San Mateo County and provide convenient connections to the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system, Caltrain, and the San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

Project Section

This station community is part of the San Francisco to San José project section.

Location

100 California Drive, Northwest of Millbrae Avenue and Rollins Road, between El Camino Real and Highway 101.

Status

The Authority is finalizing an environmental document for the San Francisco to San José project section. The Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) was released in July 2020. A Revised Draft EIR/EIS was released in July 2021, which included analysis of a new Millbrae-SFO Station Reduced Site Plan (RSP) Design Variant that was developed to add another option to the station design evaluated in the Draft EIR/EIS.

The public review period for these documents has ended. Authority staff will provide written responses to all comments received, which will be published in the Final EIR/EIS scheduled for release in 2022. More about the station design variant is available in the Revised Draft EIR/EIS fact sheet.
