Design Services for Track and Overhead Contact Systems (OCS)
The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to procure a contract for Design Services for Track and Overhead Contact Systems (OCS). The purpose of this procurement is to enter into an agreement with a consultant to design track and overhead contact system elements for the 171-mile guideway from Merced to Bakersfield.
This scope of work includes the responsibility for managing design interfaces with future contracts including, but not limited to, the track and OCS contract, systems design and construction contractor, facilities and stations design and construction contract(s), and the trainsets manufacturer.

To avoid organizational conflicts of interest, prime firm(s) awarded the Design Services for Track and Overhead Contact Systems contract cannot also be the prime firm awarded the future track and overhead contact system delivery contract (the construction manager/general contractor, contract to construct the track and overhead contact system) or a future contract for construction management services for the track and OCS construction.
