VIDEO RELEASE: 2021 Year in Review Special

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) is recognizing a year of progress and partnership, with a new 30-minute 2021 Year in Review special released today on the Authority’s YouTube channel. The special highlights the progress and work statewide this year that has brought California one step closer toward delivering the nation’s first clean, electrified high-speed rail system.
Some highlights over the past 12 months include:
- Certifying the first environmental document into Los Angeles County
- Welcoming notable representatives from the federal government
- Restoring key federal funding for the project
- Continuing construction progress in the Central Valley
California high-speed rail has 119 miles under construction with 35 active sites in the Central Valley. Nearly 300 miles of the 500-mile Phase 1 System between the San Francisco and Los Angeles/Anaheim have been fully environmentally cleared.
