  •  TPZP Time Impact Analysis
    »Change Order: 99.4
    » Justification: The Authority approved this change order to compensate TPZP for time delay impacts due to the addition of work scope, utility relocations, associated design variances, and the delivery of concluded agreements with third parties by the Authority.
    »Scope of Work: Budget increase and contract extension from December 30, 2023, to November 23, 2026.
    »Cost: $154,436,989.00

  • TPZP Escalation Cost Adjustment
    »Change Order: 99.5
    » Justification: This change order is a follow-on to Change Order 99.4 Time Impact Analysis. The Authority approved this change order to compensate TPZP for inflation costs related to time delay. This is an estimate of costs, and final payments will be determined by future inflation as measured by a price index.
    »Scope of Work: Budget increase and no change to scope.
    »Cost: $80,000,000.00

  • DFJV Interim Time Extension
    »Change Order: 312.4
    » Justification: The Authority approved this change order for an interim time extension needed in order to compensate the contractor for time-related costs.The approval of this change order ensures the continuance of the project and allows the Authority to pay DFJV for work performed during the time period.
    »Scope of Work: Increase in budget and contract extension from August 16, 2023, to August 16, 2024.
    »Cost: $48,251,469.31

  •  Conejo Avenue Viaduct
    »Change Order: 400
    » Justification: Based on BNSF direction, the Authority revised the Conejo Avenue Viaduct design to implement a 5-foot separation/maintenance offset between the unprotected HSR structure supports and the BNSF right-of-way. This resulted in a change in the scope of work. The approval of this interim change order allows the Authority to compensate the contractor for the design and construction costs.
    »Scope of Work: Increase in budget and change in scope.
    »Cost: $30,000,000.00

  • Tule River Viaduct
    »Change Order: 369.3
    » Justification: Based on BNSF direction, the Authority revised the design for the Tule River Viaduct section to implement a 5-foot separation/maintenance offset between the unprotected HSR structure supports and the BNSF right of way. This resulted in a change in the scope. The approval of this interim change order allows the Authority to compensate the contractor for the design and construction costs.

  • Purpose:
    » To provide information on the current and upcoming procurements aimed at delivering the first 171-mile operational segment of the California High-Speed Rail project
    » To raise awareness about the California High-Speed Rail project throughout the global high-speed rail industry, facilitate collaboration and cultivate a competitive procurement process
    » To answer questions live in person and via Zoom

DELEGATION VISIT TO UK/FRANCE

  • At the invitation of the British Trades Department and the French Consulate’s Office –Board Member Ghielmetti and four Executive Staff participated in a weeklong delegation visit to the UK and France for an exchange of information, lessons learned and site visits surrounding High-Speed Rail
  • Discussions included:
    » Funding challenges/opportunities
    » Procurement strategy
    » Construction challenges
    » Systems integration
    » Government to Government relations
    » Station design
    » UIC North America Congress 2024 – planned for Fresno
