The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) continues its work in partnership with agencies, corridor cities, interested stakeholders and the public to bring the nation’s first high‑speed rail to Southern California.
Southern California has 4 of the 10 largest cities in the state, which will be connected by high-speed rail
High-speed rail is the backbone connecting regional transportation systems within the state. In the near term, activities are underway that will significantly expand the region’s mobility and provide improved transportation choices for the more than 23 million people that call Southern California home. $1.3 billion of Proposition 1A funds and other Authority funding are supporting investments in Southern California, including $441 million towards the Link Union Station project and $76.7 million to the Rosecranz/Marquardt Grade Separation Project.
